Let art soothe us as the pandemic spreads
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began in Taiwan last month, the whole society has been in a state of panic. People's lives are difficult, their freedom of movement is limited, and human relations have become isolated. In the midst of the pandemic, art is essential to soothe our troubled minds. As the cultural authority, the Bureau of Cultural Affairs takes the responsibility to comfort people with arts by providing a variety of online art experiences, including online concerts, operas, plays, cinema, exhibitions, lectures, libraries and other activities. Through computer, tablet or mobile phone, users can browse the exhibition online, enjoy the performances, and enjoy the art activities safely at home. Even if you can't go out, you can still keep the supply of mental and spiritual food uninterrupted.
I would like to thank my colleagues from the Bureau of Cultural Affairs and the cleaning staff for their assistance. I would also like to thank the public for their cooperation with the pandemic prevention measures. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the event and the temporary closure of the venue. I believe that with our efforts, we will overcome the hardship together. At that time, we will launch more wonderful cultural activities with the energy we save now. We sincerely look forward to seeing you in person again.
