Enjoy a safe lawn concert together in April!
Thank you for waiting! The most popular lawn concert of the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival is back!
The lawn concert has always been the starting point of the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival and one of the largest arts events in the first half of the year in Southern Taiwan. Last year, the lawn concert was suspended due to the COVID-19. With the enthusiastic support of the audience, it was finally resumed under strict prevention measures. The first concert of this year will feature music from the popular animation film How to Train Your Dragon. The concert will be held in the grass of the KMFA on April 3rd to April 4th. We invite you to enjoy the pleasure of flying over the mountains and rocks with the Night Fury on the green and under the stars.
The second concert will be on April 10th to April 11th, featuring music from the film The Age of Innocence. Directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer and Winona Ryder, the film was nominated for five Academy Awards. The film will be screened on a large high-resolution screen and accompanied with a live performance of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra. Under the beautiful starry sky, the audience could feel the love and the helpless fate with the plots of the film.
Since 2009, the Bureau of Cultural Affairs has held the first so-called "concert without chairs" on the lawn of the KMFA where the citizens can experience the music in the most relaxed way on the grass with the breezes and stars on the spring night. Though still faced with the pandemic, we negotiate with health agencies and come up with a comprehensive prevention plan for the 13th lawn concert of the KSAF, which requires a reduced number of admissions, a "no food" policy at the concert, body temperature checks before entry, a real-name system, sanitizer for the audience, and frequent cleaning of mobile toilets. Concertgoers are also required to wear face masks and cooperate with the prevention measures. The lawn concert of this year will be held only on the premise of good precautionary measures. Let's enjoy the long-awaited lawn concert on a spring day.
