The KUBIC Container Park is the first experimental venue in southern Taiwan and serves as a platform of exchange for local innovative enterprises following urban transformation in the Asia New Bay Area.
Kaohsiung Shui Shui is a landscape installation in the container park designed by the winners of the 2019 Golden Pin Design Award and the 2019 12th Taiwan Interior Design Award. They incorporated the coastline of Kaohsiung harbor into two curved concrete walls (measuring 18 and 36 meters long), where the walls resemble hills rising from the ground. Additionally, mist is sprayed from the walls to symbolize the mountains and sea of our industrial city.
The use of mist in here creates a dialogue with the surrounding environment in both real and imaginary form, with the creators hoping that it facilitates the creation of a “Shui Shui (meaning “beautiful” in Taiwanese)” future for Kaohsiung and its harbor.
集盒•KUBIC貨櫃園區是南臺灣第一座實驗性場域，在亞洲新灣區啟動城市轉型的理念下，集結在地創新企業，提供一處城市跨界交流平台。
園區內由在地青年設計的地景裝置藝術《高雄水水》，曾榮獲2019金點設計獎年度最佳設計獎及第12屆台灣室內設計大獎臨時建築與裝置類TID獎。創作團隊將高雄港灣的岸線轉化為兩道18米及36米長的曲面混凝土牆，彷彿從土地生長而出的有機丘體，水霧偶自牆面逸散而出，呈現工業重鎮裡的山海意象。
港區對於高雄曾是一道封閉隔離的界線，城市轉型後逐漸縫補並重新修復市民與港之間的臍帶關係。藉由霧雕此一情境體驗式的藝術表現，在虛實之間形塑出環境與自身的對話空間，創作者期許本作品能與高雄、港灣共創「水水」願景。
