Architechture 045:Military Dependents’ Village of the Japanese 6th Naval Refinery Plant (CNPC Wang Hongyi Housing Complex South)
The CNPC Wang Hongyi Housing Complex South was constructed during Japanese Rule. After World War II, the 6th Naval Refinery Plant was expropriated by the CPC Corporation, and these housing areas became their living quarters. The housing complex is well-planned and complete, featuring straight roads, lush trees on both sides of the streets, and all necessary facilities supporting residents’ daily needs. As of today, CNPC Wang Hongyi Housing Complex South has been registered as a cultural landscape, in which old Japanese-style buildings are preserved as well as ancient trees and a variety of birds. The housing complex boasts both historical culture and ecological conservation.
