Blue Magpie, created by artist C. H. Shih, is attached to an elevated water tower at the Luzhu Science Park to form a piece that features a blue magpie-like body, an orange beak, wings made from cantilevers measuring nearly 12 meters long, a tail made from perforated plates measuring approximately eight meters long, and a steel structure supporting the body and skeleton of the bird that is adorned with a colored ribbon-like ornament spiraling upward to represent the vitality of ecology.
This demonstration of the production team’s precise steel construction capacity shows viewers that technology is more than product manufacturing, but also a means to care for the environment and a method to inspire diverse thought.
由藝術家施忠賢創作的作品《藍鵲》與路竹科學園區的高架水塔結合，以藍鵲的藍色鳥身、橘色鳥嘴作為主體視覺，翅膀則是用將近12公尺大懸臂的膜結構構成，尾翼採約8公尺高的切片沖孔版貼附，並採鋼結構作為脊骨與鳥體的支撐體，搭配環向彩帶盈繞而上的設計，充滿鮮明、活耀的生態意象。
作品整體結構體高達54.5公尺，最大直徑達30公尺，完整展現鋼構施工與製造團隊的精密技術。這隻「科技藍鵲」也彷彿展翅告訴觀者，科技不只是物質的製造與生產，也是對環境的關懷，和對人文的新思考。
