All public art displayed in Dadong Station is made by local Kaohsiung artists Lu Ming-te and his wife Kuo I-fen. Germination, an artwork comprising three hollow, egg-shaped sculptures, symbolizes the “germination” of artworks, phoenixes, and Fongshan. The colors of red, green, and gold were utilized to represent well-being, ecology, and wealth, respectively.
By examining Germination up close, visitors will find that the egg-shaped sculptures were made using flowers and lines. Additionally, plants and flowers were painted on stainless steel plates, revealing the artists’ focus on and attention to ecology, nature, environments, and culture.

近距離欣賞可以發現蛋型雕刻是由花朵線條組合而成,其他不鏽鋼板彩繪的植物花卉,在在顯示藝術家長期對於生態、自然、環境、文化的思考和關注。
