For this artwork, the artist uses the materiality of glass to produce light reflection and refractions that interact with the environment, beaming with different brightness and depths. This interaction between glass and light beams demonstrate the aesthetics and mysteries of light, shadow, and color.
Emerald Laminata is filled imagination and vitality, located in the Kaohsiung International Airport Station and known as the world’s largest 3D glass sculpture public art. Created by German glass artist Lutz Haufschild, the artwork is divided into two walls, using water to the circulation of urban lives and a glistening emerald hue to represent environmental sustainability.
