She carries a magical fan made from banana leaves, which has the power to extinguish flames with one flick, create gales of wind with two, and conjure rain with three. The fan is able to put out the fire that spread over 400 kilometers on the Flaming Mountain. “Sun Wukong Thrice borrows the Banana Fan” is one of the most exciting stories in "Journey to the West".
