AI Driving the New Content Economy, Cinema Imagines the Future
2025 TTXC × Kaohsiung Film Festival Illuminate Kaohsiung
The 2025 Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo (TTXC) takes center stage in Kaohsiung with the theme “AI Synergy for Next Content Economy,” spotlighting how generative AI is transforming the cultural content ecosystem. This year’s edition brings together top global experts, creators, and industry leaders to spark interdisciplinary dialogue and fuel a new wave of cultural-technological innovation.
Running concurrently, the Kaohsiung Film Festival (KFF) returns from October 10 to 26 as a signature event within the TTXC framework. Since its founding in 2001, KFF has charted a distinctive course in the global festival circuit, fusing international cinematic perspectives with boundary-pushing XR experimentation. With the International Short Film Competition and the XR Competition as its twin pillars, KFF continues to define Kaohsiung as a leading hub for immersive storytelling in Asia. This year’s theme, Super Relief, explores the resilience of the human spirit by examining how people confront illness, disaster, emotional extremes, and life on the margins, all while striving to preserve warmth, emotion, and humanity through moving images.
The 2025 edition unfolds across 20 thematic sections, featuring more than 50 feature films and 100 short films, with 160 screenings offering a richly textured and diverse cinematic journey. Breaking away from convention, KFF remains a vibrant arena where disciplines, cultures, technologies, and forms of imagination intersect. We invite you to step into this luminous field of light and shadow and experience cinema as a continuously evolving force for connection, reflection, and transformation.
