Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo
Less than a quarter into the 21st century, humanity has already entered the era of digital convergence. Telephone lines, Internet cables, and television signal wires are becoming invisible mobile communication networks. Utilizing this technology to deepen the core cultural values of Taiwan, and amplifying Taiwanese cultural content through technology, we aim for cross-domain and cross-boundary integration. We believe that interdisciplinary cooperation will lead Taiwan to a new path in culture and technology. Improving the perspective of cultural development is the first task of human cultural progress. For this reason, the 2023 Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo (TTXC) was born.
The main vision of 2023 TTXC is centered on "X", which has the concept of "addition and multiplication" in mathematics, and also symbolizes the possibility of connection, fusion, concatenation, and the unknown. "People-oriented" is the core of technological development and digital transformation, and it is the future trend. The word "人 (people in Chinese)" in "X" means the causal relationship and overlapping development of man and technology. And "X" also looks like a hammer, representing industry, which in English is also widely interpreted as technology and creative industries. Kaohsiung used to be an industrial powerhouse, but with digital transformation and urban development, it has become a cultural and creative technology city.
The first TTXC Taiwan Culture and Technology Conference will be held in Kaohsiung from October 7 to 22 with four aspects: "Science and Technology", "Music", "Film and Television" and "Forum". For the science and technology category, "Future Exhibition Hall", "Marine Traffic of Future Kaohsiung" and "Digiwave" are the main exhibits. For the music category, "Takao Rock" and "MIXTAPE: City's Party.zip". The film and television category will be represented by Asia's largest immersive film festival "Kaohsiung Film Festival-XR Infinity Fantasy". The "International Forum" will invite top influencers from around the world to Kaohsiung to share and exchange experiences. The activities make cultural technology a cultural transformation rather than just a technology, bringing traditional culture into the impetus of modern development and stimulating more creativity and possibilities.
