2023 Youth Innovative Design Festival
Give full support to new creators and let the youth design the future!
The curators of the Youth Innovative Design Festival observe the current design trend exhibitions and competitions from different perspectives and provide a special stage for new designers to present their creations. We believe that young designers can change the world! This year, the Youth Innovative Design Festival has entered its 14th year. The IF OFFICE team is specially invited to create a new professional image for the festival based on brand identity design.
May is the most exciting time at Pier-2 Art Center. We are planning a variety of activities to enhance the breadth and depth of the Youth Innovative Design Festival. In addition to the university exhibition area in the large warehouses in the Dayong and Penglai area, the independent exhibition area is designed to break through the graduation exhibition framework and showcase students' unique views on design. Excellent works from different schools, departments and classes are displayed in small units.
The international exhibition area of the Youth Innovative Design Festival, "Youth Ping-pong Club: Taking the Initiative with Design," was planned by curator Lin Wei-jhe. The exhibition presented the design philosophy of designers Tachikawa Eisuke, Yui Takada and four Taiwanese designers in Japan in a simple way. Communicating with domestic and foreign designers can broaden the students' vision of design. In addition, three famous international designers, Tachikawa Eisuke, Yui Takada, and Shun Sasaki, will be invited to the exhibition during the event to discuss the ups and downs of being a designer with the audience.
And every year, the best creative design competition, with a dream jury of designers representing a wide range of fields, including Aaron Nieh, director of Aaron Nieh Workshop, Zeng Shi-kai, design director of Studio Shikai, Ye Yan-bo, CEO of WHYIXD, Wu Han-jhong, CEO of Society Design Firm, Fang Syu-jhong, creative director of Joe Fang Studio and musician Chen Chien-chi. The best design of the year will be selected soon after the review. Please look forward to it!
In addition to the indoor exhibition, there will also be design-related markets on the weekends! The Youth Film Festival, which will be held at the same time, will not only screen the outstanding shortlisted films at the Kaohsiung Film Archive, but also hold an awards ceremony in conjunction with the Youth Innovative Design Festival. Come to Pier-2 Art Center this May and feel the energy of youth about to explode.
