MOYA, named after its French creator Patrick Moya, is formed from the letters “MOYA” cut out of stainless steel. The artwork can be viewed as a 2D art as well as in 3D.
Moya is one of the founders of Neo Lettrism that involves transforming Western alphabets and words into art themes and materials. Accordingly, Moya turned the letters “MOYA” into symbols before reorganizing, arranging, and deconstructing their fom. This artwork is not used as a symbol or to convey any meaning, but rather to show viewers that Moya is a pioneer in Neo Lettrism.
