The Three Deities Fu, Lu, and Shou are the main characters of SanXianHui(The Three Deities Gathering), a traditional deity play. The three deities each hold a Ruyi (scepter), a boy, and a crane, representing auspicious blessings to us mortals. This show is to pay gratitude to the deities, performed before the feature presentation. Deities plays, serve as an important ritual in folk religion, and is commonly seen in all forms of folk theatrical plays; they express our wholehearted gratitude to heaven and earth, for answering our prayers.
