Located in the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, 360° is a spherical public art that symbolizes unity, harmony, cohesiveness, and sustainable learning. LED lights embedded along the sphere marks the passage of time, the path of learning, and the scope of life.
One fascinating aspect of this compass-like artwork is that it echoes and extends the meaning of a previously installed, ruler-shaped artwork on campus. 360° won The 3rd Public Arts Awards (category: Best Environmental Integration Award) held in 2012, exemplifying how artworks “communicate” with its surrounding space.
